Abigail Marie Clancy Bio
Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January, 1986) is an English catwalk model and lingerie model, and television personality. In 2006, she was the second-place finisher in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) and in 2013, she won series 11 on Strictly Come Dancing. Since 2015, she's been Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy is the second of four children of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy and Geoff Thomas Clancy was born in Liverpool. Clancy was raised in Woolton (a suburb of Liverpool) and was a student at St Mary's Primary and St Julie's Catholic High Schools. Clancy was a member of the girl group Genie Queen, which was managed by Andy McCluskey (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark). Clancy was chosen as one of the thirteen finalist for the second season of Living TV's Britain’s Next Top Model. She was competing for a 10-week modeling contract. Clancy made it to the final runway show with fellow contestant Lianna Fowler. She eventually became the runner up. Clancy has been a model for many magazines and newspapers following his appearance on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike for Arena magazine's cover in May 2007 was photographed by Clancy. Clancy was selected to be featured in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was highlighted for her sporting relationship with Peter Crouch and was photographed in the magazine with only body paint to appear like she was wearing the England shirt, shot by Yu Tsai. Clancy was featured as a model in Umbro sportswear's 2010 campaign. Clancy was a model for the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011 collection. She was a part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign in July 2013. The editorial was by Absynth Photographyic, and the fashion film was directed by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy also modelled for the August 2011 cover of UK Esquire shot by photographer Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was also featured in the December 2013 issue of LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar with Suki Wasserhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy was featured on British Marie Claire's July 2014 cover as well as British Elle's March 2015 cover. Abbey Clancy, along with her daughter Sophia Crouch, collaborated in October 2019 with Lipsy, a London-based fashion brand, to introduce their AW'19 collection. The AW19 collection launched in UAE in January 2020.
