Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress as well as a comedian and activist. After moving to America she was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. She began her career as a child actor. In AT&T television commercials she played the role of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 through 2016 and the year 2020. In addition to her commercial appearances, she was also a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). After being cast in the TV pilot unaired for New Warriors, Vayntrub also voices Squirrel Girl on Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents, who were both just two years old, emigrated to America as refugees from antisemitism. They moved to West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. After her sophomore year, she dropped out and got a GED. She continued however to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts Communication from University of California San Diego. She was introduced to improv comedy through the Upright Citizens Brigade.
